Staff-Elder Offsite

One of the greatest assets of our church is the relationship between the staff and elders! The elders love and trust our staff and the staff loves and respects our elders. It’s incredible and it’s rare!

One of the reasons this relationship exists is that for many years, we have taken an annual offsite together. There is always a topic of study and small groups where staff and elders work and pray together.

The last two years, we have begun using the Holy Trinity Monastery  in St. David and this year’s topic of study was the final touches on our Discipleship 2.0 class called ‘Spiritual Formations’. Specifically, the “Habits of Spiritual Formations.”

While on my sabbatical a year ago, the Lord impressed upon me that a ‘Time and Place’ with God is essential BUT it doesn’t guarantee spiritual formations. After sabbatical I got right to work on the ‘Spiritual Formations’ class. Here is the outline for it. And even better…we plan to offer the class this Fall!
