Connections Director 

One Sentence Ministry Description: Make every person that walks through our doors feel like they are “home” by helping them connect to God, people, and purpose.

Reports to: Executive Director of Operations

Supports: Guest Services Teams, Team Members, Next Steps Experience Team

Hours/General Schedule: Full-Time (presence expected at all 4 gatherings)

Core Functions:
  1. Assimilate Newcomers
  • Oversees the Next Steps Experience to make sure it’s planned, staffed and modify it as needed.
  • Maintain a database of all newcomers with the goal of shepherding them through the process of getting connected and something about moving in the direction of ministry partnership (small group and/or ministry team)
  • Follow up weekly with Next Step Experience newcomers ensuring they get connected to the appropriate ministry area.
  • Help people take their next steps to become ministry partners.
2. Oversee Growth Track process
  • Track progress and create accountability with ministry leaders to have appropriate discipleship conversations
  • Record completion of Growth Track in church database
  • Encourage Growth Track Graduates to enroll in the Ministry Leadership Course.
3. Oversee Guest Service teams (hosting, kitchen, baking, communion, ushering, catering, parking)
  • Recruit and develop coaches and leads.
  • Shepherd the GS Team Coaches and help lead them to develop healthy span of care in their ministries
  • Infuse the guest services team with a culture of radical hospitality.
  • Partners with coaches to develop regular training & appreciation events
  • Ensures coaches and team leads are scheduling well
4. Help make TMC a great place to invest a life-changing dollar
  • Manage budget with goal of maximizing disciple-making
