Children's Ministry

We love kids and the noises they make.

When you arrive at Thunder Mountain Church for the first time, please bring your children to the main lobby where the check-in station is located. There you will find our New Family Check-in volunteer who will register your children and guide you to the classrooms.  You will receive three stickers; two name tags and a code per child. One name tag is for your child to wear, the other one is given to the classroom volunteer, and the code is for you to keep and use when picking up your child. Every child can be checked in, at the earliest, 15 minutes prior to service time.

P.R.A.Y. Like This

Parents, we want to partner with you in discipling your children to become future disciples.  Here are prayers you can pray with your children at home based on Sunday messages, updated weekly just for you by Ryan Percy, Children's Ministry Director.
04/13/2025: The Suffering King

Hello Thunder Mountain Families,
This week,  we’re concluding how to pray with your children by using the acronym P.R.A.Y. The ‘Y’ stands for Yield - to Yield is to receive what God has for us. When we pray we have to know, we have to have conviction, that God will answer every prayer.  Jesus gives us an example of this in Matthew 26:39 which says, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless not as I will, but as you will.”

When we are facing trials, pain, or suffering, this can be especially hard. Here are some next steps to help:
Sit with God in silence to hear Him - remember: He could answer yes, no, or not right now.
Ask God, “Lord, help me see what You’re doing!” - He answered this question for me and now it's my testimony so I’m sure he’d answer it for you too.
Praise God for what He shows you.
And, never stop Praying! That said, here is this week's prayer:

Praise → Lord Jesus, I praise you for what you put yourself through; you suffered so much for us and our sins.  You suffered emotionally and physically because of your love for us.  We know that the wages of sin is death.  You came down from heaven to live the life we can’t live and pay the penalty we can’t pay because of our sinful nature.

Repent → Please forgive us when we don’t glorify you in our suffering and when we
forget how much you suffered because of your love for us.

Ask → If it is possible, please take this trial, this suffering, prevent this death, or take this pain from us.

Yield → Yet, Father, not as I will, but let your will be done.

In Jesus' name,
Amen

We strive to reach families by providing a safe environment where children enjoy coming to know, love, and serve Jesus!

Your kids are invited to participate in Children's Ministry to hear an age-appropriate message, or join you in the main auditorium
You may want to take advantage of our family room, located at the north end of the hallway, to comfort crying little ones or nurse and watch the message in privacy.
Rest assured that our kid's check-in process prioritizes safety, security, and the well-being of your child as they explore and learn about Jesus in our kid's ministry area.
