When We Remember Who We Are Praying to, ...
Our Prayers Should Get Bigger...
There was a prayer request submitted on Sunday, August 14 that caught my attention and I wanted to share with you because I believe here is someone whose prayers are expanding beyond the temporary to eternal values!
Anonymous - Prayers that God would reveal to me the areas of my heart / life that need to change; that He would give me wisdom, courage and strength to make these changes. Also that I would trust God and give like He's calling me to. Prayers that God would help me do well with the projects I have at my job this week.
In my time and place with God this morning, I was challenged with this question: “How would the world change if all of my current prayers were answered?”
My very first thought was, “I’m not praying big enough!”
I have sweet fellowship with God and I pray for my family and the staff. I pray through the church directory and I pray through my schedule and lists of projects and tasks. I prayer-walk around the church property and ask God to make us into the church He created us to be BUT STILL the thought of “How would the world change” challenged me to pray BIGGER!

When we remember Who we are praying to, our prayers should get bigger . . . and big enough that cause people to see the glory of God!
20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20–21 (ESV)
Here is the PRAY acrostic from July 24, 2022 message that I use
1.Praise - Remember who you’re talking to
2.Repent - Recognize who we are (be humble and bold)
3.Ask - Request what you think you need
4.Yield - Receive what God has for you

Get off the Bench
Hasn’t God met us each week in this series?!? I hope you’ve been able to take advantage of the opportunities to experience God in greater ways and to develop a faith that those that you care about in your life, will value and regard as precious! This Sunday will be week four of five and the topic will be “Serve.”
This Sunday
If you see people shooting video this Sunday, it’s a company called CGI who will be present to gather footage for a video that will be part of a special project with our local chamber of commerce to help prospective residents #SeetheGood in our community! They are planning to shoot during the 9:30 worship gathering and then during the Serve Fair between worship gatherings.
Please pray that this project is done really well and that God uses it to increase the population of heaven!

WHAT TO EXPECT AT SERVE FAIR?
Plan to head out to the ramada before or after worship gatherings this Sunday to see tables of various ministries. One of our axioms is, “Everyone called here is called to be a minister.” When I think of how I have experienced God by serving Him, it’s “OH MY!” When I put myself in situations that are beyond me, I see God show up in big ways! He ALWAYS comes through!
How would that conviction expand your faith and help you navigate life’s storms? I’ve found the answer is that kind of faith grows through serving! Check out Serve Fair and look for what may be a good fit for you!
