Child Dedication
...Teach Them Diligently to Your Children
MOTHER’S DAY PLANS - CHILD DEDICATION!
In some Christian traditions, children are dedicated, usually during infancy, with the waters of baptism. Because our understanding of scripture is that baptism is an expression of faith in Jesus' sufficiency to forgive sin AND that the New Testament pattern for the practice was immersion, we don’t baptize babies BUT the practice has some merit as far as the parents are concerned SO we offer a ceremony of dedication consistent with our theology.
Every Mother’s Day, we offer the opportunity for parents to publicly dedicate their children to the Lord which is an expression of the desire to raise them in a manner consistent with a knowledge of God.

If you would like to participate in this ceremony with your children, please call the Ministry Support Center and speak with Savannah by Thursday, May 11 so we can make the necessary arrangements for you at any of the three worship gatherings on Sunday, May 14!
