Learn About Rise AZ

On April 26 (the Saturday after Easter) a big concert is being planned for the community that will be held at the band shelter in Veteran’s Memorial Park.

The style of music will vary and include Rock and Hip-Hop, but all with the common goal to reach hearts for Jesus. The festival itself is being designed as an outreach to a segment of the younger generation who may be far from God.
A pre-concert was given on Saturday, February 15 that I attended and admittedly, I didn’t understand many of the lyrics (my ears are not tuned into rap music) but I definitely understood the hearts of those who performed! What I heard were young men who grew up in (and caused) a lot of pain but who found salvation and redemption through Jesus and are now completely committed to Him as Lord and Savior.

At the end of the concert, they gave an invitation to accept Christ and a young man went forward. I was so excited to see that he was not only from our church but my small group that I co-lead on Sunday nights at our Student Ministry!
THEY NEED OUR HELP!

I remember the early days of Christ’s Church of the Valley when the founding pastor told the story of someone who approached him and said, “Your music isn’t my cup of tea but if it will help someone’s grandchildren get saved, I’M IN!” We are THAT kind of church! We sacrifice our preferences for the sake of the gospel! TMC gave $5k early on to help this movement get off the ground and they need our help in spreading the word!
