Furlough Assistance
The government shutdown may end by the time you receive this, but the crisis caused by the furloughs may still not be over for a while. So, we want to communicate this offer to help.
When we look at the church in the book of Acts, we see that God was "so powerfully at work" because of how the church responded to the Word of God with a spirit of generosity and a heart of concern for one another!
33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all 34 that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need. Acts 4:33–35 (NIV)
We give food to our community, but we give financially to our congregation in times of crisis and emergency. This comes from the General Fund; unless the need is greater than the supply, then we receive a special offering.
If this furlough has put you in a bind, PLEASE LET US KNOW. Medications are essential to maintain, and we like to help avoid repossessions, foreclosures, and disconnections because it costs less to prevent them than to recover them.
This level of care isn't available to everyone, but we will take care of our own Leadership Partners, Ministry Partners, and regular attendees to the extent we are able.

Thank you to those who give to our General Fund, because YOU expand our ability to reach out, touch lives, and grow people to know, love, and serve Jesus!

Our pantry can always use more food and money to keep the shelves stocked to be able to provide to anyone who needs it!
