What Do I Have To Believe?

What do you have to believe to be a Christian? Ask several different people, and I imagine you'd get several different answers. Add to that fact, that when you and I look at the whole bible we can see the story of creation, lots of Old Testament stories, and numerous Old Testament rules. Are all these required? And where do I start? What if everything came back to one Person, and one Event that changed the world?
