Envy

Envy may be way more commonplace than we realize. In our social media saturated world, we’re constantly bombarded with glimpses into other peoples’ lives. We come across lifestyles, toys, wealth, vacations, and even skills that we see other people have that we wish we did too. Comparison is common and many live with some level of discontent trying to “keep up with the Jones”. Envy can even feed insecurity in people because we begin to believe that if we just had something else or could just be like someone else, then we'd be whole. Envy creates resentment between us and people, and gets in the way of enjoying a relationship with God! How can we become more aware of it and remove envy’s control in our lives? In this message, we seek to answer these questions.
