Paige and Isaac Christensen

Posted by Randy Youngblood, Lead Pastor on

I wanted to share a letter written by Isaac Christensen, the husband of former Children’s Ministry Director, Paige.  Paige resigned recently due to the health of her husband and his need to move to the cooler climate of Minnesota.

I thought you’d like to see how they described their experiences at TMCC while they were here.

TMCC Staff,

Being invited to the staff meeting was a very humbling experience for me. The unity and passion and love you all have for the church and the ministry is truly inspiring. I'm so used to seeing plenty of examples of what NOT to do that when I first started coming here, I was waiting to see all the infighting amongst you. And I do apologize for coming in with that view. Instead, I saw the true love and unity that is described in the Bible. You all work VERY hard and know how to appreciate your volunteers and team members, yet you know how to have fun and laugh together like a family.

I also wanted to thank you all for taking care of my wife and I. It's been hard since I was only able to work a small amount of time because of my health. You've been very understanding and helpful with the things going on in our lives. Thank you for the time that was poured into Paige and for being flexible with her schedule when things came up. Honestly, I've never felt so loved by a group of people like this in this short amount of time we've been here. But again, thank you most of all for being supportive and great to my wife.

Why have you been so good to us?! You have made it so much harder to leave! Haha. In all seriousness though, we were here a lot shorter than we wanted or expected, but I've learned a great deal and felt so much love in our short time here. Definitely have made lifelong friends here. Already cannot wait to come back and visit!

Feeling very humbled,

P.s. I have so much more I want to say, but I would rather not cry right now haha.

Paige and Isaac served well in their short time here and will be a huge asset wherever the Lord leads them! We pray for God’s blessing on them as they seek new ways to serve!

We are very fortunate and blessed to have Martha Schafer step into this role and lead this vital ministry of our church.  If you are interested in exploring ministry options with the Children’s Ministry Team, you may email Martha at
