An Annual Report Part 1: Seasonal Outreach

Posted by Caitlin Waterbury on

Autumn has been the season for a handful of outreach opportunities that received great interest and involvement. The statistics report is below for this year's Project Serve, Thanksgiving Baskets, and Operation Christmas Child.

Project Serve

During Project Serve in September, over 120 people on 13 teams completed 16 projects in our local community. Projects from yard work to roof repair were completed on a Sunday morning as an alternative to the usual weekend gathering. This was a great way for us to build up fellowship in our church community as well as meet the needs of our neighbors. Thank you to every individual and family that participated in this year’s event! We could not have completed these projects without your incredible man-power.

Thanksgiving Baskets

We were able to bless 5 families inside Thunder Mountain as well as another 13 families who participate in the Kid’s Hope program at the Huachuca City School. Thank you so much to the volunteers who gave your time to shop for these families and make a personal connection!

Operation Christmas Child

We had about 130 households give 412 boxes in participation of this year’s Operation Christmas Child with Samaritan’s Purse. A huge thank you to everyone who gave of their time and resources for this amazing program. Remember to keep your boxes and the children receiving them in your prayers so they are shipped all over the world!
