About the Food Pantry

The Thunder Mountain food pantry is a source of supplementary food and toiletries for those in need from our congregation and the community. Services are confidential.

We believe that it is the responsibility of the church and individuals to care for those in need. “Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes or daily food.  If one of you says to him, ‘Go, I wish you well, keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?”  (James 2:15-16)

Food Pantry Hours
  • Saturdays, 5:45pm - 6:15pm
  • Sundays, 12:00pm - 12:30pm

Feel free to stop by during any of these time slots if you are in need of this service. The Thunder Mountain Food Pantry is not open at other times during the week, so be sure to take advantage of this service during hours of operation.

Food Pantry News:

A big thank you to everyone, including the MOPS group, who donated to the Thanksgiving and Christmas to-go bags, and to Cindy and Deborah for putting 15 bags together! We also received an anonymous donation that will provide for the following months! Thank you!

New Volunteers! A big welcome to a couple of new volunteers, Evelyn and Lori!

We are able extend our services during the government shutdown to individuals and families effected. If you or someone you know is lacking their normal pay check during time, we welcome these external referrals! This also means we are in need of more supplies, so if you would like to donate towards this cause, please see our list above.

November 2018 Impact:

  • 81 people fed!
  • 1197 items donated!
