Our Worship Arts ministry runs in seasons.  This gives volunteers a chance to take a break, come on board, and for changes to be made throughout all areas.  While we promote signups 3 times a year, we are always ready to open up creative opportunities to those interested in the Worship Arts.

Check out the opportunities below and, if you’re interested in any of them, please fill out the online Worship Arts Connection Form (here).

Praise Team

Worship Leader
On rotation to lead the weekend song set.  Plans songs, schedules band, directs practice, arrives early to set up stage, attends cue and debrief meetings.  We would like interested Worship Leaders who are new to TMCC to serve a season as a Co-Worship Leader.

Co-Worship Leader
Works under and with a worship leader to pick between 1 and 3 songs to lead on an assigned weekend.

Backing Vocalist
Adds melody, harmony and good expressive stage presence to the weekend worship experience.

Soloist (special music)
Performs special songs on an occasional but limited basis.

Instrument Musician
Uses skill on a practiced instrument to supplement the band.  Such instruments include (but aren’t limited to) acoustic guitar, electric guitars, bass guitar, keyboard, drumset, other percussion and orchestra-type instruments.

Production Team

Sound Reinforcement
Uses proven ability to mix sound and/or grows through training.  Adjusts sound on the fly and before services for the band, all speakers and media such as videos and music played between services and at the break.

Media Presentation
Prepares and presents slides using Mac software (Pro Presenter 4). Training for this new software release can be provided.  Slides support music, the message and other things like communion and offering.  Most slides are prepared in advance and the person running the media presentation simply has to organize and present them.

Video Production (auditorium)
Controls auditorium cameras and supporting equipment to supply in-house TV monitors and recording computer with a quality video feed.  Cameras are controlled with a joystick interface and different displays are to be toggled from computer, live feed and so on with additional, easy-to-learn hardware.

Media File Management
Transfers and keeps organized media files, between the service-recording-PC, DVD,
PCO, iMac and TMCC website.

Fine Arts Team

Creative Planning
Meets with a team two times per teaching series to get ideas for productions that will supplement the weekend messages. Helps mobilize these ideas by getting others in (and sometimes outside of) the Worship Arts involved in each media production/project.

Drama Team
Writes, researches, practices and performs dramas at the weekend services. Frequency of skits depends on what the Creative Planning Team comes up with for each season.  Additional help is needed for props, backgrounds, costumes and stagehand assistance.

Film Production
Records and/or edits video clips to present movies to the congregation and on the website. Finished products may include interviews, movie clips, short films and special event footage which will help promote events and supplement teaching messages.  Additional help is needed to provide help with microphones, lighting and film set preparation.

Film Actor/Actress/Anchor
Works with those in film production to act in any short films which require actors, or anchor-type rolls for any filmed special events or interviews.

Decor
Helps to design and/or modify the appearance of TMCC.  We are currently interested in mobilizing some help in painting and redecorating the TMCC auditorium.

Dance
Choreographs and/or learns dances to perform individually or with a team of other dancers, with or possibly without music. Frequency will vary and depend on dancer and Creative Planning Team’s decisions.

Signing (Sign Language)
Accompanies weekend music (a special song and/or worship song set) with sign language. Frequency will vary and depend on signer and Creative Planning Team’s decisions.

Graphic Arts
Creates visual content for the TMCC website, live media presentation (slide backgrounds) and supplemental content for videos and each teaching series.

Photography
Captures, edits and produces images of TMCC, it’s people, functions, and other images as needed for the website, media production, ads and so on.

Voice Actor/ Narrator
Supplements videos and website content with any needed recorded vocal performances, including scripture reading and drama narration.

Live Art (Painting/Pottery)
Uses developed art skill, such as painting or pottery as a special worship expression, accompanied with teaching and/or music.
